MILLINGTON – Mr. Billy Ray “Bill” Woolwine, Jr., aged 61, our caring, hard-working, faithful, and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, mentor, and friend went home to his Lord & Savior on April 23, 2026, at Henry Ford of Grand Blanc surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on April 16, 1965, in Flint, Michigan, to Billy, Sr. & Freda (née Denkins) Woolwine. He was raised alongside his brothers, Keith and Kenneth. On May 4, 1985, he wed the love of his life, Ms. Pamela “Pam” Hemingway. Together they have shared countless memories, raised their two sons, and celebrated over 40 years of marriage. Bill was currently the CEO of Serenus Johnson Construction and Timbers Golf & Country Club, Vassar. Bill proudly served his community as a part of the Bay City Rotary and McLaren Bay Foundation. He was very involved in the Millington community and recently began a medical center development in Millington. Notably he received the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Hall of Fame Award in 2026. A man of great faith, Bill was a member of Bay Valley Christian, Vassar Campus for over 29 years. Bill prided running his businesses to a Godly standard and operation. He enjoyed relaxing at the cabin on West Twin Lake in Lewiston, MI. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, golfing and playing pool. Above all, Bill’s happiest moments were spent with his family and his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is forever loved by his wife, Mrs. Pam Woolwine; sons, Billy Ray (Kaitlyn) Woolwine III, and Justin Lee (Sara) Woolwine; grandchildren: Peyton, Kolton, Landon, and Delaney; mother, Mrs. Freda Woolwine; mother-in-law, Mrs. Kay Hemingway; brothers, Kenneth (Barbara) Woolwine, and Keith (Heidi) Woolwine; brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Bruce (Mary) Hemingway, Kathy (Dan) Rude, Lynette (Chuck) Love, Deb (Larry) Olmstead, and Diana (John) Allard; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, coworkers, and friends.

Bill is reunited with his father, Billy Woolwine, Sr., and father-in-law, Bruce Hemingway.

Bill’s family will welcome visitors to Hanlin Funeral Home in Millington from 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Monday, April 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church (4941 Center Street, Millington, MI 48746) at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026; additional time of visiting at church from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Rite of Committal to follow in Millington Township Cemetery.
