Preston, Shirley - Of Flint, Michigan, age 88, died Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Per Shirleys wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
Shirley was born in Flint, Michigan on August 31, 1936, the daughter of the late Clark and Katherine (St. John) Warden. Shirley was known for her kindness, her endearing laugh, her hard work and her caring way. She enjoyed crocheting and shopping, especially shopping on QVC. Shirley was employed with AC Spark Plug Flint for 42 years. She was also employed with Bell Telephone. Above all else, Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are, ex-husband, John Preston Sr.;
sons, John (Patrice) Preston Jr. and Guy Preston;
daughter, Brenda (Craig) Christensen;
grandchildren, Chad (Ashley) Christensen, Aaron (Rachel) Christensen, Philip Preston and Paige Preston;
great grandchildren, Jayden Christensen, Lucy Christensen, Logan Adams, Sloane Christensen, and Winslow Christensen;
brother, Robert (Sheila) Warden;
sister, Patricia Thompson;
and several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents.
