STEVENS, Earl – of Davison, MI, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Brookdale Assisted Living – Memory Care. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association, in Earl’s memory.

Earl was born in Detroit, MI on June 28, 1929, son of the late William Henry and Anne (Carbines) Stevens. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949-1951. Earl married Shirley Jean Clarkson on May 28, 1948. Shirley preceded him in death on November 15, 2021, after 73 years of marriage. Earl retired from Detroit Edison in 1984 after 35 years of service. He enjoyed sailing, singing, swimming, visiting ST Ives Cornwall and traveling the world.

Earl was very proud to be a first-generation Cornishman and delighted in developing and keeping close family ties with his family “across the pond”. Whenever there was a gathering, he would be at the center of laughter and warmth. A very memorable man.

Earl is survived by 2 children, Clifford (Linda) Stevens and Laura (Dale) Parks; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie (Joshua) Schlegelmilch, Christopher (Charity) Stevens, Phillip (Rachel) Stevens, Katherine (Jason) Moore, Cassandra Parks, Nicholas Parks; 7 great-grandchildren, Amelia Schlegelmilch, Nate Schlegelmilch, Matilda Schlegelmilch, Sebastian Stevens, Arthur Stevens, Elizabeth Parks and Noah Parks; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry and Anne Stevens; his wife, Shirley Jean Stevens and infant son, Mark.
