Doris Hartzell, age 83, of Cedar Grove, W. Va., and formerly of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Friday January 7, 2011. Mrs. Hartzell was born in Toledo on March 16, 1927 to Charles & Frances (Leininger) Eidson. She married Raymond Hartzell in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on April 14, 1948 and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1997. A homemaker all her life, Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her son, Raymond (Terry) Hartzell, Jr.; daughter, Marcia (Dana) Brockwell; grandchildren, Leslie (Landry) Jones; Garon Hartzell; brother, Gary (Virginia) Eidson; sister, Ruth Hartzell and special friend, Mary (Darrell) Gurley. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Donald & Charles Eidson.
Friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 6-9 pm Wednesday where funeral services will be held at 11 am Thursday January 13, 2011. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association; the American Heart Association or Kanawha Hospice Care of Charleston, W. Va.
