Brian Scott Solak
Passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at the age of 57 at his home.
A funeral service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Nelson-House Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Heidt of St. Philip Lutheran Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4pm until the time of service.
Brian was born August 10, 1967 in Saginaw, the son of Jerry and Helen (Mayberry) Solak.
He graduated from Birch Run High School in the graduating class of 1985.
Brian lived for his family, especially his children; they truly were the light of his world. His main goal was to make lasting memories with each of his children, from coaching soccer, baseball, participating in fantasy football leagues and building puzzles and family board game nights. He was always their number one fan and biggest supporter.
He married the love of his life Danielle Drake in East Lansing on September 2, 2005.
Brian worked at Xerox as a service tech for several years.
Brian is survived by his wife, Danielle Solak; children, Zachary Solak (Nicole) of Flint Township, Jeremy Solak of Swartz Creek, Jaxen, Isaac, and Addison Solak of Owosso; grandchildren, Colton and Sophia of Flint Township; mother, Helen Solak of Birch Run; siblings, Brenda Solak of Birch Run, Ken (Kathy) Solak of Flushing, David (Elisa) Solak of North Carolina; along with several other loving family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Jerry Solak.
Memorial contributions are suggested to an educational fund for the children.
