FOSTER, Marjorie Rose (Van Dalen) - passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 19, 2022, at the age of 95. She was born on June 4, 1927, Flint, Michigan, to the late Bert and Anna (Clor) VanDalen and graduated from Northern High School in 1945. She worked at the Strand Theater, Marvel Carburetor, General Motors (Human Resources) and Gene Myers, Attorney-at-Law. Marjorie Rose was the embodiment of the greatest generation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4133 Calkins Road, Flint, MI 48532 with Rev. Fr. Pierre Bassil celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday, November 28, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473 and from 10AM until the time of Mass at the church. Marjorie is survived by three of her children: Mark (Kathy) Foster of Swartz Creek, Michigan, Margo (John) O'Neil of Flushing, Michigan, and Lisa Foster of Flint, Michigan; four grandchildren, Kristal Foster, Katrina Foster, Andrew Foster and Angelique Kincaid; four great grandchildren, Jane Nowak, Cole Foster, Vincent Kincaid, and Hudson Foster; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by two of her sons, Keith Martin Foster and Bert Patrick Foster and one beautiful daughter, Amy, who never had an earthly presence; five siblings and their spouses, uncles and aunts, and first cousins. The Foster family wishes to thank Sue Meister and Kindred Hospice (Tabitha and Gena and many others) for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church.
