LOCKE, Scott D. – Of Swartz Creek, age 63, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Mid-Michigan Midland Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to Jehovah’s Witnesses
Visitation 11am Saturday, June 24 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Scott was born in Flint, Michigan on May 11, 1960 the son of the late Joe and Beatrice (Haddix) Locke. On October 25, 2005, he married Glenda Waitman in Maui, Hawaii. Scott owned his own restaurant “Gracies Country House”, for over 15 years. He worked in food service since he was 12. Scott also worked 11 years at Brookdale. He was a simple man who loved music, especially “The Beatles”. Above all else, Scott loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren and his dogs, Bear-Bear and Dolly.
Surviving are wife, Glenda;
children, Eric (Cora Tethrake), Kyle (Chelsea), and Cameron Cottrell;
grandchildren, Jaxon, Oliver and Dexter;
siblings, Kal, LouAnn, Tracy and Bryan;
step-mother, Joanne;
step-siblings, Rhett, Wynne, Lisa and Melanie.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Bryan and late wife, Tisa.
