HUNT, Dale Gordon – of Davison, MI, age 81, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Tuesday, September 13, 2022 and 1-2 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. A Committal Service will be held 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442; Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America, www.dementiasociety.org, in Dale’s memory.
Dale was born in Flint, MI on June 25, 1941, son of the late Walter and Bette (Dunkley) Hunt. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959-1963. Dale married Luetta (O’Neil) Kendrick on September 25, 1982 in Flint, MI. He retired from General Motors in 1991 after 30 years of service. Dale enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, flying and riding motorcycles. He was also a gifted carpenter and sculptor.
Dale is survived by his wife, Luetta Hunt; 2 children, Tracey Hunt Miller and Kim Hunt Raze (Scott Raze); 3 step-children, Shelley Kendrick (Mary Jerome), Terry Kendrick (Lori Tallman) and Tracey Manley Kendrick; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Vicki (Paul) Behan; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bette Hunt; granddaughter, Amy Owen; 2 brothers, Walter “Bud” Hunt and Robert Hunt.
