DEWAR, Syble – Of Burton, age 88, died Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Darrel Manning officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Burton Senior Center.
Visitation 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Syble was born in Perry County, Arkansas on January 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Levi and Myrtle (Hartley) Bloomer.
Our beautiful mother came to Michigan in 1959 and settled on the south side of Flint where she remained for the rest of her life. She worked for Delphi/GM for 25 years before retiring. From here she dedicated her time to the Burton Senior Center and traveling the world, including the Philippines, Costa Rica, all 50 states, plus cruises to Alaska and Hawaii. Her passions included country music, fitness, and travel, but her greatest treasure was her large family.
Surviving are children, Freda Katzur, Connie Weiser, Bonnie (John) Barthel, Debbie (Mark) Towar, Ray (Wendy) Dewar;
grandchildren, Shari Cole, Crystal (Paul) Wooley, Anthony (Tosha) Oxley, Sheila Weiser, Rachel Weiser, Joshua Barthel, Wesley Weiser, Kathleen (Chris) Kocinski, Martin (LaRissa) Towar, Nicole Weiser, Jillian (Chad) Cotter, Spencer Dewar, Melissa (Ryan) Parry, Maxene Dewar, Penny Villaneuva and Lara Villaneuva;
great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Johnson, Madeline (Tyler) Gallaty, Noah Weiser, Dillon Weiser, Tristan Wooley, Allison Kocinski, Tatum Weiser, Carter Oxley, Lauren Kocinski, Julian Oxley, Jack Kocinski, Antonia Oxley, Payton Parry, Ethan Parry and Theodoric Towar, Atticus Oxley and Ryn Kocinski;
sisters, Laverne Tompkins and Willie Bloomer;
many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Stailey.
