Wirsing, Bruce K.- of Clio, age 72, died on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Mass will be held 11AM Thursday, December 23, 2021, at SS. Charles & Helena Catholic Church, 230 E. Vienna St, in Clio. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Wednesday, from 4PM until 8PM and at the church on Thursday from 10AM until the time of Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 7PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel of Towers and Homes for Our Troops.
Bruce was born on June 21, 1949, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Maynard and Ernestine (Bolinger) Wirsing. He married the love of his life, Joann. On January 25, 1969. Bruce was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Birch Run, and the Birch Run Moose Lodge #2426. He enjoyed car racing, welding, fabrication, and challenging himself. Bruce was a wonderful man, a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend, he will be greatly missed. He was a family man, along with being a thrill seeker and being active in life.
Surviving are: Wife, Joann Wirsing; Children: Teresa Ewing, Jim (Mandy) Wirsing, Mike (Theresa) Wirsing and Laura (Nick) Bierlein; Grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jackson, Tristan Cronkright, Matthew, Max, Blake Cronkright, Luke and Kyle Robinson; Great grandchild, Morgan Robinson; Siblings: Douglas (Cynthia) Wirsing of Kersley and William (Susan) Wirsing of Holly; Brother in Law; Robert (Desiree) Hasman; Niece; Lisa (Rob)McCoy; good friend; Kirk Heath. He was preceded in death by stepfather, Harvey Broughton: Sister-in-law, Jeanette Correll, brother-in-law, Joseph Hasman, good friend, Arnold Bundschuh.
