HENRY, Dennis “Craig” -of Lake Fenton, age 82, died, Friday, July 25, 2025.
He was born in Sikeston, Missouri, on April 9, 1943, and moved to Burton, Michigan, with his family the same year.
He was preceded in death by his late brother, Douglas Henry, and is survived by his sister, Suzanne Jakeway, his brother in-law, Edwin Jakeway, of Goodrich, his sister Pamela Krause, of Virginia, and his brother in-law, Paul Krause, of Minnesota.
Craig leaves four children, Leigh Ann DeLeon, Christal Piesko, Matthew and Justin Henry, bonus daughter, Denelle Henry, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His father, Dennis, instilled a strong work ethic at an early age, which gave him the means to purchase his own 1958 Corvette at 16, airplane at 18 and gas service station which he owned and ran as a teenager. Soon thereafter he went to college and became an attorney practicing law as a sole practitioner for fifty years in the Genesee County Legal Community, who effectively became family.
He raised his two sons as a single father at a time when society thought that could not be done.
Best described by the following words: hard working, overly generous, honest, kind and loving.
He loved to travel and saw most of the continents in the world. He lived a full, rich life with his own style and on his own terms.
He found his best friend and life partner, Sharon Bellot, late in life, but they were blessed to have 25 years together. Our family is forever indebted to her for the caring love she showed our dad, and she will always be a part of the Henry family.
The family thanks Hartland Hospice and the staff at Wellbridge of Grand Blanc for the loving end of life care Craig received.
There will be a small grave side service at Evergreen Cemetery, where he will be interned next to his parents.
