RHEINGANS, Ralph William, Jr. - Age 83, of Flint Township formerly of Lennon, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023. Per Ralph's request cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be announced at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to the Durand Senior Center, 8618 Lansing Road, Durand, MI 48429.
Ralph was born April 5, 1940 in Flint, the son of Ralph William, Sr. and Cleo May (Jacobs) Rheingans. He was a 1958 graduate of Fenton High School and he attended the Technical Institute. He retired from Hewlett Packard as a Certified Computing Professional Systems Manager. Ralph was a former member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fenton. He also was a member of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club. He was a volunteer at the Durand Senior Center and the North End Soup Kitchen in Flint. He enjoyed singing throughout the years in Barbershop Quartets and choirs, most recently participating in the Owosso Community Choir, Annual Holiday Concert. He enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling and riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are: his children, Jeff (Lisa) Rheingans of Fenton, Jennifer (Bill) Boyce of Tecumseh and JoEllen (Mark) Markovich of Bozeman, MT; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Charles Rheingans of Linden; sister, Carol (Gary) Campbell of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Cleo Rheingans; brothers, Robert and Walter Rheingans; sister, Mary Estes. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
