BARRETT, RUTH A. Went home to be with our Lord on May 2, 2023.
She was born in Flint, Michigan on October 10, 1949, to her parents, Wilford LaFond and Doris Milan.
She is survived by her husband, Gene after 37 years of marriage;
stepson, Wesley Barrett; granddaughters, Moneice and Nena Barrett; sister, Linda Knaub and brother, Gary Milan.
She was preceded in death by her only son, Jamie Hundley; stepdaughter, Moneice (Missy) Barrett; brothers, Terry Milan and Bill LaFond; sisters, Lona Eden and Lori Kelley, and her parents.
Ruth was a lifelong resident of Flint, MI. she was an avid bingo player and loved games and puzzles.
Funeral service will take place at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, in Flint.
Visitation will be 4 -7 p.m. Thursday and 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, with Pastor Larry Survance officiating.
Ruth will be laid to rest at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris, MI.
