MOSIER, The Honorable Judge Charles Bernard – of Davison, MI, age 91, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022 at McLaren – Flint. A Mass of Christian Burial, with Military Honors, will be celebrated 1 PM Monday, March 14, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Entombment immediately following the Mass in St. John Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Monday, March 14, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church or a charity of one’s choice, in memory of Charles.

Charles was born in Ypsilanti, MI on August 9, 1930, son of the late Dr. Edward C. and Mae (Hughes) Mosier, M.D. He was a graduate of Otisville High School Class of 1947. After graduation, he was joined in marriage to Dolores M. Lancto on June 13, 1953 in Flint, MI. Charles proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Park College, Kansas City, Missouri. Charles then earned a Juris Doctorate Degree in Law from the University of Detroit in 1957. He was appointed Judge of the 67th District Court in 1970, retiring in 1992. Judge Mosier was prominent in many professional, state and university activities. He was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Dolores Mosier; 2 sons, Matthew C. Mosier and Mark E. Mosier; daughter-in-law, Paula Mosier; 9 grandchildren, Melissa Tate, Matthew (Angela) Mosier, Michael (Kelsay) Mosier, Callie Mosier, Karri (Mark) Whiteman, Allison (Zach) Frey, Lindsey (Rob) Youness, Travis (Lacy) Mosier and Trevor (Emily) Mosier; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Suzanne (Fred) Wolff, Shari (Bill) Polli and Dr. Claudia (J) Mosier; many other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Edward and Mae Mosier.
