HANSON, Thomas Milo – Of Flint Township, age 85, was promoted to Glory Monday, November 20, 2023 at his residence.
Visitation 1-8pm Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road., Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 5pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hanson will be at the church 9am Thursday from until the time of the Mass.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc,
Father Leronio Vodivodi officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Heart Association.
Tom was born in Flint, Michigan on June 3, 1938 the son of the late Milo Hanson and Alice (Roberts) Petee. Tom graduated from Kearsley High School, Class of 1956. Tom married JoAnn Marsh on March 7, 1959 at Court Street United Methodist Church. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, poker parties around the fireplace in the garage and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Tom retired from Consumers Energy after 37 years of service and was a member of UWUA Local 119.
Surviving are daughter, Debbie Stiff of Grand Blanc;
son-in-law, Craig Stiff;
daughter-in-law, Cindy Hanson of Flint;
grandchildren, Brooke (Chris) Migliaccio, Tammy Hanson, Ashley (David) Lauritsen, Lindsay (Matt) Holt, Logan (Brooke) Stiff, Morgan (Delbert) Davis, Gavin (Courtney) Stiff, Madison Hanson;
great-grandchildren; Sophie, Storie, Manning, Sterling, Sawyer, Sloane, Crew, Sage, Bryce, Tristan, Lochlan, Shia, Charlotte, Leif, Milo, Landon, Saylah, Beckham and Finley;
sister-in-law, Diane Crawford;
nieces, Amanda Crawford and Alice Amy; nephew, David (Shirley) Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Hanson, sons, Thomas Hanson Jr. and David Hanson, sister, Betty Jones, niece, Sally Jones and nephew, Steven Jones.
