Richard L. Farnsworth, of Clio, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at McLaren Hospital in Flint.
He is survived by his children: Cindy Hinman, Tami Tarrence (Tim Powell), Laura (Bill) Temple, Tina (Ted) Trombley, Troy (Charlotte) Farnsworth, Trent (Erin) Farnsworth, Todd (Meyleen) Farnsworth, and Bill (Tina) Ishmael; 19 wonderful grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; significant other Sharon Stimac; and special extended family Wendy (Fred) Kean, Rene (Steve) Parks; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his wife Linda; parents Clyde and Grace; siblings: William, Clyde Jr., Ilene, Ruth, and Louise; three great-granddaughters: Amy, Crystal, and Erica; and son Timothy.
Richard was born on March 30, 1936 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Clyde and Grace Farnsworth. He married Linda Lemmon on July 25, 1980 and was employed by General Motors for over 30 years until his retirement. He was a member of UAW Local 598 and Flint Eagles Aerie #629. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be missed dearly.
The family will greet friends from 11:00am until time of memorial service at 1:00pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at New Covenant Church, 13176 N. Linden Rd., Clio, Michigan. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating.
