ALDERMAN, Gena Marie (Underwood) – of Burton, MI, age 66, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment immediately following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Wednesday, February 9, 2022 and 10-11 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, in Gena’s memory.
Gena was born in Flint, MI on October 15, 1955, daughter of Imogene “Jeannie” (Pate) David and the late Bulian “Doc” Underwood. She retired from Spring’s Drug Store in 2002 after more than 20 years of service. Gena was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
Gena is survived by her son, Robert (Dawn) Husted; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; mother, Imogene “Jeannie” David; former spouse, Daniel Alderman; 3 sisters, Peggy (Terry) Wilson, Nancy (Jack) Farmer and Lisa (James) Underwood; best friends, Cheryl Howard and Lynn (Dan) Howko; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bulian “Doc” Underwood; son, William Michael Simerau; daughter, Amanda Jean Frasier and sister, Joyce Ann Goss.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Dr. Venkatasiva Peram, M.D. and his staff for their compassionate and professional care of Gena over the years.
