Parker, Carolyn Sue - age 86 of Flint, gained her wings on December 2, 2025. A funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Homes, located at 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan 48473 with Pastor Wes Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint, Michigan. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 PM until the time of service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the family (in care of Pamela Parker) or to the charity of one's choice.
Carolyn was born on January 13, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Harold Oscar and Mattie Loraine (Houghtaling) Alander. She graduated from Utley High School and went on to work for Citizens Bank for nearly 40 years. Carolyn attended Hill Creek Church of God, she enjoyed making crafts with her grandchildren & having craft sales, being a true treasure hunter, she invested her time at estate sales, yard sales, garage sales and book sales and above all, Carolyn cherished the time that she spent with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela "Pam" Parker of Flint. Grandchildren, Tiffany Marie (Steven Glover); Jacob (Katie Donaldson) Parker; Hannah Loraine. Great grandchild, Kaylynn Rose. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Joel; son, Steven Parker; sister, Sally Alander; brother, Keith Alander; and many extended family and friends.
