CHILDERS, William H. “Little Bill” - Of Mundy Township, age 89, died Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Pastor Mark Lasley officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 11 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
William was born in St. Francis, Arkansas on June 7, 1932, the son of the late Alex and Ettie Childers.
Bill loved bowling, playing cards; was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Childers retired from General Motors Truck & Bus after 33 ½ years of service and was a member of the UAW Local #598.
Surviving are wife, Margaret;
3 children, Brooke (Vickie) Childers, Terry Trojanowski and life partner, Tom Nesper and Cindy Childers;
5 step-children;
3 grandchildren, Peggy (Mike) Martin, Amanda (Mike) Helms and Brooke Childers II;
3 great-grandchildren, Megan Martin, Jordon Martin and Luke Helms;
several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Childers; sister, Ruth Couch and brother, Marion Byrd.
