Agnes Catherine Hamilla, also affectionately called “Weeza”, of Flushing, Michigan, age 74, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at home and surrounded by her family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial gathering will be from 4-7 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Rossell Funeral Home in Flushing. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Munising. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Upper Peninsula Communities That Care.
Cathy was born in Munising, Michigan on March 2, 1948 to Felix and Annette (Brebner) Boyak. She loved her hometown of Munising where she has many cherished friends and family, and has made boundless memories. She enjoyed crafting, baking and cake decorating. Cathy also liked to shop, especially at craft shows.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Tooker Hamilla; children, Chad (Tammy) Hamilla, Melissa “Missy” (Ryan) Solesby, Jeff Hamilla, and Chris (Erika) Hamilla; and her grandchildren, who she loved to the moon and back, Dylan, Emilie, and Nathan. She was preceded in death by her parents, and eight siblings.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Aunt Patty and Shelby, as well as Kindred Hospice, especially Jaime, for their exceptional care and compassion. |
