RISDON, Betty – of Flint, Michigan age 89, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. A funeral service will be held 2:30 PM Friday, June 3, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, Pastor Bruce Lawton and Pastor James Goff officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM Friday until the time of the service. Cremation will take place following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Bible Church of Burton.
Betty was born in Clayton Township, Genesee County, Michigan on October 8, 1932, daughter of the late Marshall Dwight Lee & Gertrude Leone Rock. She married Floren Virgil Risdon on September 9, 1950, in Mt Morris, Michigan. Betty Jane Lee-Risdon loved to knit & crochet, loved sewing, loved to read, loved to travel: especially Hawaii, loved animals, loved to grow flowers in her outside gardens. Betty worked 30 years and retired in 1986 from AC Spark Plug in Flint, Michigan. She worked as a volunteer in both West Branch Hospital & Lapeer Regional Hospital. Betty was an avid red hatter through a group of ladies in both West Branch and Lapeer both in Michigan. She was a member of Lapeer Free Methodist Church in Lapeer and presently attended Grace Bible Church in Burton. Prior to that Churchill United Methodist Church in West Branch, Michigan.
Betty is survived by daughters, Geraldine Risdon-Harrison and Kay Ann Risdon; son, Michael Floren (Ruth) Risdon; sister-in-law, Janet Lee-Spencer; Janet's son, Dwaine (Brenda) David Lee. Betty has several grandchildren: Adam Harrison, Jessica Skinner, Danielle Cabral and Ben Kramer; many great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father in 1959, her mother in 1985 & her husband in 2001.They all rest in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery in Mt. Morris, Michigan.
