Danial Edgley (55) passed away unexpectedly the night of September 28, 2018. Born December 28, 1962, the son of Donna (Fruchey) Edgley and the late Danial Edgley.
He is survived by his loving mother and stepmother Charlotte Edgley, siblings Denver, Darlene (Keith) Jolin, Annette (Jay) Morris, Henry (Angie) Nelson, Daniel (Tanya) Nelson, and Bridget (Carl) Lawrence. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Wesley, Kristin (Anthony), Jimmy, Michael, Elizabeth, Alison (Robert), James (Iris), Steven, Kelsey, Breean, Logan, and Deven, several great nieces and nephews, and close friend Frank. He was preceded in death by his father, Danial, and his grandparents.
Danial was an employee of DT Fowler Manufacturing for 27 years, but when he wasn’t working, he could be found at his favorite fishing hole. He loved fishing, animals of all sorts, and being out in the fresh air -- not necessarily in that order. When they were younger, he would often try to instill the love of fishing in his nieces and nephews. While he would remind them to be calm and quiet, he never complained that they failed to catch any fish. He was a quiet man, but protective of his family and would remind them to “always carry a big stick.” He was famous for his comfort-over-style fashion sense; especially his impressive beard, which he refused to shave because his face would get cold.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place, and his remains will be interred with his father in White Chapel Cemetery. A memorial service will take place at a later date. He will be missed by those he leaves behind, including the many cats he took in and cared for. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Paradise Animal Shelter in Lapeer, MI or to your nearest Humane Society.
