LITHERLAND, Alfred J. “Alfie” - Of Grand Blanc, age 86, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence.
A private funeral service will be held at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Contributions may be made to Kirkridge Presbyterian Church.
Visitation 11:00am-12:30pm Saturday April 10, 2021 at the funeral home. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people will be allowed in the chapel at one time. Mask, group capacity and distancing guidelines must be practiced.
Alfred was born in Bellevue, Alberta, Canada on April 2, 1935, the son of the late Alfred and Rose (Sterba) Litherland. On September 6, 1958, he married Joyce Neeley in Flint, Michigan. He was employed with the United States Postal Service as a postal carrier for many years. Alfred was a member of Kirkridge Presbyterian Church as well as a Masonic member. He lived for fishing, and enjoyed spending time on Lake St. Helen and being outdoors. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife, Joyce;
Children, Karen (Jim) Grover, Tony Litherland, and Brenda (Ed) Waier;
Grandchildren, Angela, Erica, Amanda, Tony, Travis, Tyler, Morgan, Jacob and Madison;
And 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
