Lydia G. Rosalez, age 84, of Alma passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Medilodge of Mt. Pleasant. She was born October 21, 1938, in Benavidez, TX the daughter of Quirino and Isabel (Alaniz) Gonzalez. Lydia grew up in Texas, and married Miguel Rosalez, Jr. on June 20, 1961. They moved their family to Alma in 1967.
Lydia worked for several years at D and S Trim on Alma and for Gratiot Community Hospital in food service. She was a faithful and devoted member of Nativity of the Lord Catholic Parish. Lydia took every opportunity offered to her to live a fulfilled life.
Lydia is survived by two sons, Javier Rosalez, Jaime Rosalez; a daughter, Zaida Macri all of Alma; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Quirino Gonzalez, Beca Villarreal, Chue Gonzalez.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miquel; a son, Miquel “Eddie” Rosalez; a grandson, Vincent P. Macri, III; her parents and siblings, Cuca, Steven, Amanda and Irene.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 11 am at Nativity of the Lord Catholic Parish in St. Louis with visitation from 10 am until the time of services. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Alma. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lux-Moody-Wofel Funeral Home, Alma. |
