POTTER, Dorothy V. - age 93 of Linden, passed away February 26, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 2 PM - 3 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Dorothy was born on April 26, 1932, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Virgil and Stella (Potts) Hoss. She was a proud graduate of Flint Technical High School. On February 9, 1952, she married Douglas Dean Potter, and they shared many wonderful years together until his passing on March 5, 2024. Dorothy worked as a teller at Citizens Bank for many years before continuing her career with General Motors in the Purchasing Department, where she later retired. In her younger years, Dorothy enjoyed bowling and golfing. She was a longtime member of the Fenton Farms Thursday Night Ladies League and an active member of the Loose Senior Center, where she especially enjoyed playing cards with her many friends. Surviving are: son, Douglas (Vickie) Potter of Highland; daughter, Sherry (Richard) Hunt of Linden; granddaughter, Jennifer (Gene) Kopczyk of Metamora; grandson, Tom (Suzanne) Danner of Linden; five great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Marilynn) Hoss; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; Virgil and Stella Hoss; husband, Douglas Potter; and siblings, William Hoss, Wilda Austin, Mary Ward, Helen White, Elaine Johnson and Betty Mundale.
