ALLEN, Tary David – Of Flint, age 74, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Tary was born in Flint, Michigan on July 4, 1946, the son of Gerald and Beulah (Molincha) Allen.
He graduated from Kearsley High School in 1964.
He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and then continued in the Reserves.
On September 19, 1970 he married Julie Sorenson in Grand Blanc.
He loved music, played the guitar and was an avid U of M fan.
Mr. Allen worked for the Flint Board of Education as a mechanic for 37 years.
Surviving are wife, Julie;
son, Christopher;
grandson, John “TJ” Howie;
brothers, Verling Smith, Ron Smith and Kim Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
