IKERD, Charles Anthony - age 65, of Flint, died January 2, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer when it's safe for family and friends to gather. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene or the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Charles was born January 9, 1955 in Flint, the son of Charles and Nellie (Smith) Ikerd. He married Laura Chapman on October 17, 1987. Charles retired from General Motors where he was a die maker for many years. He was a devout servant of God and his church, Central Church of the Nazarene where he was involved in Youth Groups. Charles enjoyed being with family, hunting, riding Harleys, woodworking and was a general handyman that was there for everyone. Surviving to cherish his memory are: Loving wife, Laura; two children, Jori (Jared) Arnold of Davison, Chad (Jennifer) Ikerd of Flushing; granddaughter, Adalynn Arnold; Sister, Susan (Jesse) Garcia; many nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Libby.
