KINCAID, Marion L., Age 87 passed away Monday, May 30, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint, with Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 9am Monday, June 13, 2022.
Visitation 1-4pm and 6-8pm Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Saturday at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Court Street U.M. Church.
Marion was born January 5, 1935, to Glenn and Leona Dutro. She married Herbert Kincaid, June 19, 1954, and was devoted to him for the past 61 years until his death in 2016. Marion graduated from Flint Central High School and worked as a secretary to the managing director of the IMA. She gave up this job to move to Germany to live with her husband, Herb, who was stationed there in 1957 and 1958 serving in the Field Artillery unit of the U.S. Army. After returning to the States, she settled down to raise a family here in Michigan and for 10 years in Milwaukee, WI. During her lifetime, she was very active in Oak Park, Bethel Hill, Caseville and Court Street United Methodist churches. She was financial manager at the church while living in Caseville and also manager of a church thrift store. She loved singing and was an active choir member all her life. She has always loved her church families Including Bykota, a young married group that became an old married group having been together over 60 years. In her lifetime she has been active in dance clubs, bible study groups, cards, and others. Marion enjoyed sewing and made her own clothes for many years.
She was an accountant at Genesee Intermediate School District, retiring after 13 years. She also loved travel, having visited over 85 countries and all seven continents. Her family always came first and Marion enjoyed being a wife, mother, grandmother.
She is survived by daughter, Terri (Mike) Crnkovich, sons, Kevin (Diane) Kincaid, Ken (Luly) Kincaid, and grandchildren, Courtney and Jeremy Kincaid, Gregory and Melanie Crnkovich and Katherine Kincaid;
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert and brother, Robert.
