Ruth Ann Foster, age 78 passed away on April 10, 2021 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Ruth was born on October 14, 1942 to the late George and Norene Foster in Flint, Michigan. Ruth attended Longfellow Jr High and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1960. She received her Master’s in Education from the University of Michigan Flint and went on to teach in the Flint area schools from 1965 to 1995.
Ruth liked to do needle work, painting, antiques, gardening, and caring for infants especially in the Church’s nursery. She was an Elder, Deacon, and did volunteer work in the church office at First Presbyterian Church of Flint.
Ruth is survived by Sister-In-Law Susan Foster of Florida, Niece Sherri Slade, of Florida, Nephew’s Gerald Foster of Florida and Robert Foster of Florida, Cousin’s Marty Sanders of Tennessee, Janet Baydl of Fenton, William H Piper of Fenton, and many other cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: and brother George Foster.
A Memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, May 28, 2021 at First Presbyterian Church of Flint - 746 S. Saginaw Street, Flint, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Genesee County Human Society and/or First Presbyterian Church of Flint Memorial Fund.
