MAY, Jean Marie – Of Clio, age 75, died Wednesday November 5, 2025, peacefully at her home.
Per Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held 12Noon Thursday, December 4, 2025, at United in Christ United Methodist Church of Thetford Twp, 11394 North Center Road, Clio Michigan, 48420. A meal prepared by the United Methodist Women will follow.
Visitation 9:30am Thursday at church until the time of the service.

Jean was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 1, 1949, the daughter of the late John and Maxine Eldred. She was a 1967 graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Jean was a member of United in Christ United Methodist Church. As a professional model she was crowned Miss BBW of Flint in 1985 and was a member of Zonta Women’s Group. Jean enjoyed reading, spending time with her church, friends and her family. Jean married Jimmy Richard May on May 24, 1969. For many years Jean hosted Governors, Senators and was active in many political campaigns. Jean was cofounder along with her husband of Golden Springs Fisheries which was the world’s largest goldfish distributor. Jean was an overall Class Act.
Surviving are her husband, Jimmy;
Children, David and wife Sara May, Lisa and husband Marc Kesten;
Grandchildren, Kayla and husband Andrew Madar, Cameron Kesten, London Kesten and Max Rembor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Michael and John “Chip” Eldred.
