FEJEDELEM, Michael David “Mr. Mike” – of Montrose, age 79, died on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, April 23, 2021 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM. Internment to follow at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Maple Grove Township, New Lothrop, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Due to Covid-19 and government regulations, only 25 people are allowed in our chapel at one time and masks are required.
Mike was born November 26, 1941 in Flint, Michigan to the late Nicholas and Stephania (Maciak) Fejedelem. He graduated from St. Michael’s Catholic High School. Mike married Diane Emma Bush on December 11, 1971 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in New Lothrop. Mr. Fejedelem retired from General Motors with over 30 years seniority. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, founder of Mr. Mike’s Recipe Club, and member of a CB Radio Club. Mike volunteered with Montrose Community Schools for many years, where he affectionately earned the nickname, “Mr. Mike.” Mike loved fishing, traveling all over the UP, boating, spending time at the family cabin in Albright Shores, and beloved favorite vacation destination, Gerometta’s Resort, in Manistique. He enjoyed collecting recipes, stamps, and coins, tinkering with computers, small electronics, and television repair. Mike also enjoyed watching classic TV shows, movies, music, and playing the accordion.
Surviving are: Wife, Diane Fejedelem; Daughters: Cindy Fejedelem (Jeremy Squire,) and Gloria (Damien) Fejedelem-Ciurzenski; Grandchildren: Brayden Fejedelem, Kitana Quinnan, Ariana Quinnan, Ariana Ciurzenski, and Janessa Ciurzenski; Brothers: Gerald (Carole) Fejedelem, Steven (Judy) Fejedelem; Sisters: Barbara (Wayne) Ryker, Mary (Dan) Cleveland, Cecelia Billings, and Bethany (Robert) Throckmorton; Sister-in-law, Debra Fejedelem; Special nieces and nephew: Lisa, Stephania, and Jason; Many nieces and nephews he loved dearly, family members, and dear friends. Mike was also preceded in death by: First wife, Edna J. (Eycleshymer) Fejedelem (1945-1970;) Sons: David E. (1964-1970,) Robert A. (1966-1970,) and Scott N. (1968-1970;) Daughter: baby Victoria (1970;) Brothers: Paul and Matthew Fejedelem; Sister-in-law, Penney Fejedelem, and brother-in-law, Jay Billings.
