RUNYAN, Susan M. – of Clio, age 74, died on Friday, February 28, 2025, at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. A Celebration of her Life for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 6PM until 9PM, at Roger's Lodge - 219 Rogers Lodge Drive, in Clio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clio Center for the Arts.
Susan was born on April 3, 1950, in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Joan (Barker) Durkee. She graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 1968. Susan married William Runyan on February 6, 1970, in Flint, and they enjoyed 50 years together before his passing on February 24, 2020. She was a member of the Clio Center for the Arts, and enjoyed gardening, pottery, camping, and loved listening to music. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren, creating precious memories that will forever live on in their hearts.
Surviving are: Daughters: Jennifer Runyan (Ray Skinner), and Marcie (Jeff) Daniels; Grandchildren: Samantha (Taylor) Kirk, Zachary (Toni Jo) Hennessy, and Noah Baesl; Great grandchildren: Oliver Kirk, Wyatt Kirk, Melody Kirk, and Miles Hennessy; Sister, Patricia (John) Simon; Many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.
