Betty Jane Smith, of Flushing, Michigan, age 99, passed away August 3, 2022.
Betty was born in Clio, Michigan on February 25, 1923, the daughter of Andrew and Beulah Andrews. She enjoyed playing bridge, bowling, reading, and dancing at the American Legion in Winter Haven, Florida on Fridays. Betty enjoyed “talking to people”, she was employed in the cosmetology field. She enjoyed her time spent at Houghton Lake, sitting on the deck with her coffee and a good lemon donut!
Betty leaves behind sons, David Andy (Nancy) Smith and Scott Alan (Diane) Smith; five grandchildren, Nichole, Jordy, Sarah, Elyse, and Marie; six great-grandchildren, Brenden, Andrea, Kellan, Norah, Cohen, and Easton. Also survived by her sister, Shirley Wolfe; cousin, Jean Gillies; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and longtime companion, Tony Majda.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Woodhaven Senior Community where she resided the past 7 years.
