LONG, James A. “Jim” – Of Flint, age 84, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Springvale Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Court Street United Methodist Church, 225 West Court Street, Flint, with Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Visitation from 1:00pm on Thursday until the time of service at the church.
The family requests that guests attending please wear a mask at the church.
An inurnment with military honors will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 2:30pm.
Jim was born in Flint, Michigan on July 22, 1937, the son of the late Arthur and Mildred {Partridge) Long. Jim proudly served in the United States Marines. He retired from Frito-Lay after 30 years.
Surviving are wife, Cathy Long;
Children, Connie (Jim) Herron, Laurie Stacey, Mark (Jolien) Long, Stacy (Matt) Fritz and Sheila (Josh) Taylor;
11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Contributions may be made to Court Street United Methodist Church or Crossover Ministries.
