Scheitler, Kevin - Age 56 of Plainfield Indiana, formerly of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday January 6, 2021. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated January 20, 2021 at 11:00am at St. Mary's Queen of Angels Church 4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka celebrant. Internment at St. Mary's cemetery. Visitation will be at 10:00am until the time of service at the church.
Kevin was born April 13, 1964, the son of the late Kenneth and Mary (Ocenasek) Scheitler. He attended St. Mary’s elementary school and served alongside Fr. Amos Wishmeyer as an alter boy. After graduation he attended Lincoln Tech in Indianapolis where he graduated in the top of his class. He worked at West Indy Jeep for many years as a mechanic and various other jobs. He was a member of St. Susanna in Plainfield for over 30 years where he was an usher. Kevin was a devout Catholic and his faith in God never wavered.
He is survived by four brothers, Kenneth (Sherry), Kelly, Kris and Kurt Scheitler and four sisters Karen (Rod) Thomas, Kathy Scheitler, Kay (Dan) Monroe, and Karol Scheitler, several nephews and nieces, uncle and aunts. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and four brothers, Konrad, Kirk, Joseph and Infant Scheitler.
