Dawn Marie – Of Perry, passed away on July 5, 2022, with her loyal husband Russell by her side.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Terry Bate officiating.
Burial to follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Dawn Marie Hawley was born in Flint, Michigan on June 12, 1955, the daughter of the late Al and Marie Skaggs. She later graduated from Ainsworth High School and married Russell Hawley on September 4, 1980.
Dawn had many loves, and things that brought her genuine happiness. There was not a moment spent with a grandchild she considered wasted, and she loved each and every one. Another great love of Dawn’s was Christmas. There was not a square inch of space inside, or out, that was not decorated. Her enthusiasm for it was always a delight for anyone who got to witness this spectacular holiday with the Hawley’s.
Dawn also shared a passion for NASCAR with her family. Not many races were missed, and annual attendance to see Kevin Hanack could be expected.
Dawn and Russ had a mutual appreciation for antiques. The two of them tried to get away at least a few weekends a year to go antiquing at a new location to uncover new treasures together.
Surviving are husband, Russell Hawley; daughter, Rebecca Hawley; son, Matthew Hawley (Jessie); and grandchildren Logan, Teagan, and Tucker. She was preceded in death by her parents and Baby Boy Hawley.
