JAREMA, Aileen Marie – Of Grand Blanc, age 94, died Thursday, February 16, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023
Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Joseph Krupp officiating.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jarema will be at the church from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the Mass.
Aileen (a.k.a. Trouble) was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 27, 1928, to Eutrope and Margaret (Ryan) Bouchard. She attended school at St. Mary's Cathedral, in Saginaw, Michigan; St. Joseph Academy in Adrian, Michigan and Siena Heights University.
On May 6, 1950, she married Carl H. Jarema, at St. Mary's Cathedral, in Saginaw, Michigan.
She was a current, active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She was involved in the 55 & Over Group and the St. Joseph Guild. She volunteered at St. Joseph/Genesys Hospitals and hospice for many years. She was a founding member of the Red Hat Society.
She loved to play cards, particularly euchre, which she was especially good at. One of her other passions was fishing with her husband.
Aileen loved to travel and helped to organize several trips through Holy Family Catholic Church visiting Alaska, Las Vegas and the Canadian Rockies. She and Carl also enjoyed spending time at their home in Florida and welcomed many friends from Michigan.
Aileen was a wonderful wife and mother, entertaining hostess and grandmother.
Surviving her are children, Robert (Cindy) Jarema, Janet (Dennis) Loiselle,
Carol Beyer and
Joyce Jarema;
grandchildren, Lauren (Eric) Gasper,
Dayna (Jeremiah) Britton and Dan (Alessandra) Mark,
Carl Henry (Cynthia) Jarema,
Robert (Lindsey) Jarema, Scott (Mandi) Loiselle, Heather (Jeremy) Rayburn,
Andrea (Jeff) Rodhouse,
Fallon (Luby) Sidoff and Arden Beyer;
20 great-grandchildren;
son-in-law, Rick (Connie) Mark;
sister, Margaret (Peg) Riffel and family;
much loved nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Aileen’s loving caregivers, Holly Blake, Francine Young and Pam (Chandra) Schultz.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carl; daughter, Charlene Mark and granddaughter, Stephanie Jarema.
