WALSH, Michael P., “Big Mike” – Of Grand Blanc, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at his residence.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Dr. Max B. Hayden officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm-8:00pm on Sunday and 11:00am on Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Mike was born in Flint, Michigan on September 15, 1951, the son of the late Martin and Patricia (Kennedy) Walsh. He was a lifelong car-guy, owning and operating AutoBrite Collision for many years and later ran auto sales businesses. Most importantly he loved his family. He had a wicked sense of humor and generosity of spirit. He would help anyone in need.
Surviving are children, Bonnie (Mike) McLeod, Melissa (Adam) Hoffman, Kelsey (Kevin) Hale and Michael Walsh Jr.;
grandchildren, Kaitlin Carter, Hailey Hoffman, Jacob Hoffman, Cooper Sovis, Brooklynn Hale and Auburn Hale;
sister, Tina (Fred) Weber;
many nieces and nephews and former wife, Nancy Woodruff.
He was preceded in death by parents, Martin and Patricia Walsh and sister, Kathy Howe.
