ETHRIDGE, Walter Roy - age 78, of Gaines, died march 19, 2022. Funeral services will be held 2:30 PM Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. Walter was born March 29, 1943 in Barry County, Missouri. He married Joanne Lathrop on February 22, 1962. Walter was an electrician for many companies throughout the years, including General Motors. He enjoyed golfing and playing the guitar. Surviving are: wife of 60 years, Joanne; daughter, Dawn (Bob) Devereaux; grandson, Lucas Devereaux; siblings, Alvey (Mary Ann) Ethridge, Nancy Davis, Beverley Ethridge, Shirley Orvis, Cecil (Patti) Ethridge, and Carol Ethridge; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his son, Gary in 1983; and three brothers, Willis, Gerald and David Ethridge. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
