Richard Theodore Klatt
Age 61 of New Lothrop, died on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at his home.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel.
Rick was born on August 31, 1961 to Richard and Stacy (Kuchar) Klatt in Flint, Michigan. He married Sunday Goodman on July 19, 1986. They shared 37 years of marriage this year.
During his life, Rick worked as an automotive mechanic. He loved to fix cars and started tinkering with them when he was just 14 years old, learning from his dad and grandpa Kuchar. If given enough time, Rick could fix anything, especially with duct tape. His family loved to call him MacGyver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and helping people anytime he could. Rick was also a member of the fire department and the lions club.
Left to cherish Rick's memory is his wife; daughter, MaKayla "Max" Klatt; mother, Stacy Klatt; siblings, William (Hope) Klatt, Renee L (Larry) Cole; many nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles, as well as many other loving family and special friends.
He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, John and Stacy Kuchar, and Fred and Elizabeth Klatt.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Durand Lions Club.
