SEFCIK, Donald G. – Of Grand Blanc, age 75, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, August 20, 2017, with his wife of 51 years by his side at MediLodge of Grand Blanc.
Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Heritage Baptist Church, 5199 East Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Dan Louman officiating.
Per Donald’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to Heritage Baptist Church.
Donald was born in Chicago, Illinois on November 17, 1941, the son of the late Milton and Dorothy (Day) Sefcik.
On November 27, 1965, he married Linda Shelton and was a resident of the Grand Blanc area since 1963.
He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church, former member of Eastgate Baptist, Amateur Ham Radio Club (N8NJE) of Genesee County, thru which he served many civic volunteer organizations and he was the Emergency Coordinator for Genesee County.
Mr. Sefcik was employed by WMRP Christian Radio Station, where he announced Quartet Time. He was News Director and Program Director at WKMF and WGMZ. He was the Top Agent for Massachusetts Mutual.
Surviving are wife, Linda;
daughter, Sarah (Nathan) Breckenridge;
three grandchildren, Ammira, Ezra and Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Fannie Shelton; two brothers-in-law, Ray and Phillip Shelton and nephew, Timothy Shelton.
