COLLINS, Norman “Stormin Norman” – of Flushing, age 64, passed away May 16, 2018 at McLaren – Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, May 21, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Sunday and 12 PM until time of service on Monday.
Norm was born in Detroit, MI on January 24, 1954, son of Dale and Kathryn (Johnson) Collins. He married Cheryl Hackett on September 24, 2014. Norm was a great mechanic, he loved going to car shows and auto races. He also enjoyed Tae Kwon Do, Classic Rock, Poker Games and was an avid U of M fan. Norm worked at Trio Motors, a family business since he was 14 years old and was a Technical Assistant at GM.
Norm is survived by his wife, Cheryl Collins; children, Claudia (Mike) Singles, Christina (Ryan) Knickle, Allison (Jeff) Tryon, Jessica Shaver, Tom Shaver, Carmen Hackett and Carly Hackett; grandchildren, Kimberly, Bradley, Kaitlyn, Owen, Lillian, Claire and Caiden; mother, Kathryn Collins; sisters, Jerry (Guy) VanDerLaag, Kathy (Bob) Kranz and Beverly Collins; brothers, Roger (Sue) Collins, Ronald (Kae) Collins, Richard Collins and Robert (Debra) Collins; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dale R. Collins
