JAKOWCZYK, ELEANOR BARBARA ANN – Of Grand Blanc, age 98, died Friday. April 21, 2023 at Maple Place AFC.
At her request, cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date.
Eleanor was born in Flint, Michigan on August 15, 1924 to John and Therezia (Takacs) Okvath.
Eleanor grew up in Otisville. She graduated valedictorian of her high school class and, in 1943, married Edward Chester Jakowczyk. They lived happily together making their home first in Arizona and then California until returning to their Michigan roots in 2012.
Surviving are son, Thomas(Arlene) Jakowczyk;
special nieces, Ginger Wright and Irene Sanchez;
several other nieces, nephews, and family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Jakowczyk, in 2018; her parents and her brothers.
