PETERS, Kara Lynn – Of Flint, age 36, died Monday, May 2, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
A private service will be held later.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Kara was born in Flint, Michigan on July 20, 1985, the daughter of
Alan S. and Teresa (Rupp) Henry. Kara lived her life free spirited. She was a beautiful soul and knew how to make you laugh. She loved animals, especially cats. She loved listening to music, and dancing and singing. Kara also loved her friends and family so much. She will be very missed by many people. Kara's daughter Haley Peters wanted to share with everyone her love for her Mother. "My Mom and I might not have always been on the best terms, but I loved her very much. I remember my Mom and her boyfriend Mike used to take my Aunt April and I to the cat walk. We would watch the cars on the highway drive by and try to get the semi-trucks to honk at us. I have so many great memories with her from when I was a child. I will miss my Mom very much. I was with her until her last moments. I held her hand and stayed by her side."
Surviving are children, Haley Peters and Alahsea Rupp;
granddaughter, Charlotte Woods;
parents, Alan Henry, Teresa Whitworth;
siblings, Zachary Ritter, Christian Whitworth and April Whitworth;
stepsister, Cassie Garcia;
grandparents, Charles Rupp, Patricia Newsom;
uncles, Randy Rupp, Max Miller, Brian Rupp, Henry Perez and Tony Perez;
many cousins; great-aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by grandson, Forrest Woods; grandma, Mary Rupp; cousins, Jennifer and David Rupp.
