Donna Perry, 82, of Ellenton, FL, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.
Donna was born in Columbiaville, MI on April 29, 1941, to Lawrence Edward and Edwina Mae (Behringer) Richards. Donna married the love of her life, Albert Amos Stickler on April 10, 1959. Together they had 5 children, Dorothy Wilson, Crystal Franke, Brenda (Ben) Oakley, Albert Amos (Lisa) Stickler II, Tammy Stickler; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandsons. Albert passed away in 1990. Donna then married Robert “Bob” Perry in 1991 in Durand, MI, gaining step-children Robert, Sheryl, Darlene, Theresa, and Daniel. Robert passed away in 2002.
Donna has lived in Ellenton, FL in a small community co/op for the past 22 years. There she enjoyed golf, golf cart joy rides, many community activities, and making many dear friends.
In Donna’s later years, the joys of her life were her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One of Donna’s greatest joys for the last 13 years of her life was her tea cup Yorkshire Terrier, Peanut.
Donna is also survived by her sisters Dorothy “Zee” Foster, Ella (Delbert) Renk; sisters-in-law Harriet Richards and Rose Richards.
Donna was preceded in death by her aforementioned parents; daughter Tammy Stickler; brothers George, Earnest, and Daniel; sisters Florence and Effie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, from 11-1 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Father Mike Gawlowski will officiate. |
