KEENER, Sean Michael – of Davison, age 32, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Monday, August 31, 2020 at Davison Missionary Church, 1481 N. Gale Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Jason Crum officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, payable to Donny Stevens.
Sean was born in Flint, MI on March 17, 1988, son of Tammy (Donny) Stevens and the late Howard Keener. He married Hillary Warner on April 11, 2015 in Flint, MI. Sean graduated from Flint Central High School. He loved hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings, baseball, and riding his new Harley. Sean loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his sons. He was active in suicide prevention and was trained in raising awareness for mental health. Sean started his career as an Air Traffic Controller a decade ago at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport and rose to a recent management position at the Flint Bishop Airport which allowed him to be closer to his boys.
Sean is survived by his wife, Hillary; children, Elijah, Noah, Gideon, Tucker and Tatum Keener; sister, Mikayla Stevens; brother, Nick Keener; grandma, Helen Dahl; aunts, Debby Jones and Patricia Dahl; uncles, David and Tony Dahl; special friends, Keenan, Luis, Danny, Donald and Matta; many other family members and friends. Sean was preceded in death by his younger sister, Ashley Keener, and they are now reunited in Heaven, watching over and protecting all of their loved ones together.
