Michael James Rangel, 72, passed away January 28, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland with his family surrounding him. He was born on January 11, 1949 to the late Juan and Florence (Checkley) Rangel in Mt. Clements, Michigan. Michael married the love of his life the former Sandra Johnson on August 11, 1969. Michael and Sandra shared 52 wonderful years together. He worked for General Motors as an assembly line worker for 35 years. Michael enjoyed riding his tractor around the yard, snowmobiling, fishing, helping those around him and was a thoughtful caring person.
Michael is survived by his wife; Sandra Rangel, his sons; Michael Edward (Rochell) Rangel and James “Jimmy” Rangel, his daughter; April (Doug) Bickle, his grandchildren; Travis Brooks and Abigail Rangel, and his sister; Yvonne Bishop, along with many nieces and nephews. Michael is predeceased by his parents; Juan and Florence Rangel, his brother; John Rangel, and his sister in law; Deloris.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place. At this time there will not be a service but a memorial may be held this fall. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
