KELLEY, Curtis Ronald - Age 94, of Swartz Creek, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023. Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Diabetes Association.
Curtis was born August 24, 1929 in Flint, the son of Ophus Earl and Frona Ora (Sledd) Kelley. He was a 1947 graduate of Flint Tech High School. He married Joyce Ann Pennegar January 28, 1950 in Angola, IN and she preceded him in death September 8, 1989. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 1959 coming from Flint. Curtis retired from GM Fisher Body Ternstedt after 32 years of service. He was a founding member of the Swartz Creek Jaycee's, the Flint Model T Club and the Swartz Creek Friends of the Library.
Surviving are: sons, Rod (Cheryl) Kelley of Fenton, Jeff (Kathleen) Kelley of Swartz Creek and Wayne Kelley of Swartz Creek; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; brother, Keith Kelley of Flint; and his nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Ophus Earl and Frona Ora Kelley. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
