SMITH, Erric Charles – Age 46, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
A private family funeral service will be held at Wednesday, December 9, 2020.
Due to Covid-19 there will be no public visitation.
Erric was born on November 5, 1974 in Flint, Michigan to James and Belva Smith.
He grew up in Birch Run, Michigan and was a regular attendee of New Covenant Church in Clio, Michigan. Erric was very much devoted to his family.
He helped take care of his father up until his death and recently lived with his sister, Rhonda, for six months after knee surgery to help with her recovery.
Erric enjoyed all sports and especially liked discussing the Detroit Lions with his nephew, Logan. He was also an avid hunter and enjoyed his hunting trips with his dad and brother, Warren, to Michigan’s upper peninsula.
Erric is survived by his mother, Belva Smith of Clio;
brother, Warren (Heidi) Smith of Birch Run;
sisters, Rhonda Skellett of Clio, Renea (James) More of Sterling Heights and Robin Smith of Clio;
five special nieces and nephews, April, Adam, Kayla, Logan and Braydan;
best friend, George Cartright of Clio.
Erric was preceded in death by his father, James E. Smith; brother-in-law, Larry Skellett and niece, Madelyn Marie.
His life was a living example of one of his favorite Bible verses, Esphesians 4:31-“and be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
