ROZYLA, Eugene Charles (Gene) - Of Clio, age 103, died peacefully on Sunday, October 15, 2023.
Visitation 10am Thursday at church until the time of the Mass.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Thursday, October 19, 2023 at St. Charles & Helena Catholic Church, 230 East Vienna Street, Clio,
Father Ken Coughlin officiating.
Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of one’s choice or the Genesee County Humane Society.
Eugene was born in Flint, Michigan on June 21, 1920, the son of the late Kazimer and Victoria Rozyla. On June 28, 1947, he married Frances Shifano and she preceded him in death on May 8, 2010. He was a lifetime member of the Sons of Italy and Polish League of American Veterans and a member of the St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Gene served his country with the Unites States Coast Guard in World War II. He was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed traveling. Gene retired from General Motors A.C. Spark Plug.
Surviving are daughter, Paula;
granddaughter, Shamron Moore;
son, Eugene and wife Sandy;
and many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
